Intern Review

We began our placement but having lots of networking opportunities to meet our fellow intern and our colleagues that we will be working with for the next 3 weeks. Through-out the internship we had to shadow our given buddy's who were permeant employees. We either helped our buddy's and watched to learn more about audit, or got put on a client where the manager assigned us some work. This could involve existence testing or looking at expense reports, there was a huge range of tasks we could be given.

It was really clear and open to discussion. We were very openly told at the beginning of the internship the exact process of what will happen after the program and how the business works. We had many opportunities for questions and the early careers team set up chats dedicated for this specific subject.

I would say that I have developed my networking skills as we were given so many opportunities to meet new people and build connects within the first week. I also developed my professionalism as it is a new environment and we had to learn to adapt to this.

Everyone I met in the company was welcoming and friendly. There is a very open environment where you are able to talk to anyone and they refer to the culture as like a family and only being here for a short amount of time I do see why. The general atmosphere is very calm and everyone feels supported by seniors which is very important.

I really enjoyed the insight! Right from the first day we were given tasks and work which made us feel included in the team. The insight also gave us a great overview of what a future would look like at Forvis talking about all aspects like exams, day-2-day work and extra networks they have available.
