Drafting, taking attendance notes, research tasks, producing bundles, document management
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
My supervisor was incredibly helpful. He sat next to me every single day of my two-week vacation scheme and exposed me to a lot of different work. He explained about different parts of the business outside of the work he does and that he had set me. He was honest, insightful, and inspiring. Above all, he as kind. He was genuinely interested in my understanding and opinions about the work that was set as well as my commercial knowledge. The team I worked in were in an incredibly busy period but this did not negatively impact my experience as a mentee.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Kind, open, friendly. Lawyers did not seem excessively stressed and people generally seemed happy to be at work.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I really enjoyed it. I would not have been able to get this kind of insight without being at the firm in this capacity and it is clear that the vacation scheme is structured to expose the realities of working.
