Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role changed day to day on what project or task I was working on. These tasks were supported by weeks of training at the start of my placement which gave me a variety of knowledge to apply to my tasks
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a lot of responsibility within my placement. I worked alongside various senior members of staff on projects that needed to be delivered at the upmost standard. Furthermore, I had the responsibility my own operation within company sales that put the sole responsibility of that area of the sale on me.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
In a professional setting, I have been given a vast amount of knowledge to apply myself in different workplace scenarios, such as meetings, tasks and events. In a personal perspective, I have found a new sense of confidence in everything that I do. Due to the responsibility given to me, I understand that I am very reliable, feeding this new found confidence to grow further

A significant amount. I felt comfortable in asking my colleagues for help and I was never once pushed away when I asked.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture was very pleasant. Alongside the responsibility I was given, there was a sense of understanding to everything that I did and also everything my co-workers did. I didn't see any example of anything that would lead me to believe that the company culture/atmosphere was negative.

What advice would you give to others applying to L'Oreal
For others who are applying, show that you are willing to learn. As much as an internship is about what you can provide, the company want to make sure that this is as much of opportunity for you to learn and grow. They do not expect you to be anywhere close to the finished product.
