Consumer marketing insight intern Review

This role involves assisting colleagues by gathering data and providing insightful analysis across the organization. You will become a Nielsen expert, managing the consolidation files for CPD and the mass market. Additionally, you will monitor retailer portals such as Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Ocado, while utilizing e-commerce tracking websites like SimilarWeb and Fox Intelligence to assess company performance. This position requires diligence, attention to detail, and a strong interest in data analysis. You will acquire highly practical and valuable skills in this role.

As my understanding of my duties and tasks deepened, I was entrusted with more significant projects and presentations. Being given substantial responsibility during my placement was rewarding, as it demonstrated my line manager's confidence in my abilities.

A key competency developed in this role was data analysis. This skill has been invaluable in strengthening the logic and persuasiveness of my viewpoints. Furthermore, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, has proven highly beneficial. I gained a deeper understanding of Excel formulas, significantly enhancing my efficiency. Moreover, mastering PowerPoint has allowed me to effectively communicate findings through impactful visuals, ultimately improving my presentation skills with a focus on clarity and conciseness.

My previous intern provided invaluable guidance, enabling a smooth onboarding experience. Additionally, my line manager and colleagues held weekly catch up or meetings, providing a dedicated time for me to seek assistance or raise questions. I found the entire team to be incredibly supportive and helpful whenever challenges arose.
