Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My day to day mainly consisted of completing my set reports and working on my projects. I also supported receipting coffret to DHL. If needed, I will also support order prep and goods in.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes I was given responsibility to present my reports to high stake holders. I was also given responsibility to lead a re-labelling project in the DC which entailed me to present a spreadsheet with all the labels in the wearhouse with their unique 5 check digit, in order to prepare for ODES live. I also managed the majority of Power BI reports in the DC.

I received lots of support from my line manager, team manager, and my team colleges. They helped developed my knowledge on SAP, and helped developed my excel skills. Futhermore, they would provide resources to support my learning.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture is brilliant. It was professional environment that I can bond with my colleges and have lovely chats. It was a comfortable space where I was free to make mistakes and learn from them with the support of my team or as an individual.

What advice would you give to others applying to L'Oreal
My advise is to be ready to learn. I believe that when I first started my internship I did not know how to complete my tasks, therefore come open minded and eager to learn new skills to complete your set tasks. Furthermore, do not be afraid to ask questions and show your personality. I believe my tasks got easier the more I bonded with people when learning new skill set, which aligned with a better office environment to work in.
