Sustainability assistant Review

I am involved in dealing with all sustainability aspects on 3 major construction projects in central London, this includes Working with the site team and subcontractors, data collection and analysis and working to achieve accreditations. I have also been involved with smaller projects such as bid work and collating information from all sites for steel reporting.

I was given a good deal of responsibility and was trusted to complete my job without issue, it took a few months of course as I was new to the industry but eventually I was given the freedom to work on site matters, I had to ask for help so much but everyone was such a great help and I truly feel as if my skills and career opportunities have been developed.

I have learned and developed plenty of skills during my time at Mace, my ability to work with others has improved greatly as the industry leans into collaboration. My ability to analyse and read through information has been key and this is something that I have actively looked to develop. My technical skills on the Microsoft apps have greatly improved and I hope to continue this further.

I received a lot of guidance during my time at Mace, everyone that i had to ask for assistance was open and willing to help without complaints, all it took was an email or a message and on the same day I would receive the guidance that i needed. I cannot fault the people who i worked with for how they integrated me into the team and didn't treat me as if i was completely new.

The company culture was such a welcomed surprise, I had never been in a corporate environment but the drive to work and also interact with others is excellent

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Mace, as well as progressing my career, I also met people who I now consider close friends. The company is excellent in giving opportunities and I have enjoyed the work that I have been doing.
