Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Supporting employee queries and employee lifecycle changes. Coordinating onboarding for new starters, leavers, parental leave. Minute taking for employee relations, administrative support for the People Team

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I have the same role as two other full time employees so given full responsibility and treated like any other employee. Not micromanaged but allowed full ownership of my role and duties. Allowed me to learn and develop so much.

Constantly supported and allowed to ask questions and advice. Never felt like I asked too much and always supported. But also expected to learn answers myself or provide solutions to problems.

Very supportive and inclusive culture. They put time and budget into supporting the undergraduate cohort and letting us flourish.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I have thoroughly enjoyed the placement year and it has shown me the future career path I want to follow. Without it I wouldn't have found HR and the passion I have for it!
