Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the virtual experience and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
I met an Associate at PwC who was my mentor. I was able to join client calls and team meetings on my second day as I shadowed a Partner. I was set work that some employees were currently involved in and I got feedback. I met with the Deals Senior Leadership Team and they gave me insight into their career journeys.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was very insightful and engaging. You very quickly find out that there are several different departments to Deals and all of the departments vary in the way they work - some are data heavy, others are more practical and hands on, others are work heavily with clients, others involve travelling a lot and others involve researching a lot. There's so much you can do and get involved in. There is something for everyone.

I have developed many skills, namely my time management skills have been honed. My interpersonal skills have been developed and my understanding of how to work in a professional and business setting has greatly increased. My confidence in networking has also been bettered.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The culture was amazing! Everyone is so friendly and kind and so open and encouraging. From the associates to the partners, absolutely everyone is so easy to talk to and is an open book. I absolutely loved it!

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC
Definitely apply and be yourself. Research the firm and know a lot about them - they are so transparent and authentic, they are so kind and welcoming. Be confident in yourself and be open minded. Even the interview process is a chance for you to learn more about yourself and realise the strengths that you have.
