Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Most days I am working in the laboratory carrying out experiments that I have previously planned out for my supervisor. I also attend weekly meetings to engage in project based discussions with the rest of the team.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, after receiving the relevant trainings needed, I was given responsibilities to plan different experiments and also given opportunities to reach out to relevant colleagues for discussions.

I have weekly meetings with my line manager and supervisor, for a brief check in on how I am doing/feeling and about the work in general. Other colleagues are also more than happy to support me when I encounter challenges.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Company culture and general atmosphere is really positive. There are lots of employee perks and inclusivity in the workplace through the regular events that are held in the company.
