Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Designing and executing bespoke Pharmacokinetics assays to contribute to the company's novel drug projects. Involves roughly half the day in the lab and the other half in the office, e.g. Data processing, meetings, reading etc.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
My team has given me a large degree of liberty in the way I conduct my research. It has led me to developing a novel assay that, for most of the year, only I was able to run. This assay was able to generate data for novel compounds that no other assay could, thus I was relied on to deliver.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Outside of the expected improvement in my lab skills, I think that my main change has been my scientific thinking from both an analytical and creative perspective. I have also become much more interested in programming and data science.
