Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Gained insight into multiple divisions across the bank, including the opportunity to network with employees within each respective division. Additionally, partook in multiple interactive workshop and skill sessions as well as being assigned a senior mentor at the bank. Spring Insight also included a social event during one of the evenings, providing a great opportunity to network and socialise with the cohort of interns.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The first day of the Spring Insight included an introduction to the bank as well as an overview of all the business divisions. This was a great way to get an understanding of all the potential roles and what working in them might entail.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
The experience allowed me to develop my communication skills through the various opportunities to network with employees as well as interactive sessions. The trading simulation also provided the opportunity to improve my analytical skills in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Everyone, including staff and other interns, was extremely friendly. The staff who organised the event created a very open atmosphere, which made it very easy for the interns to ask questions and maximise their learning as much as possible from the different events.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
The programme as a whole was very enjoyable. All the sessions were interactive which made them very engaging. The staff and other interns were also very friendly, which made the programme a lot more enjoyable.
