Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Attending talks by professionals in different divisions and teams within Deutsche Bank. Also participated in upskilling workshops and networking sessions. Toured the 3 offices within Deutsche Bank in London and also work shadowed a desk in the FIC division at the Moorgate office.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was an information overload but it gave me the opportunity to understand how a bank operates and generates revenues. It also gave me experiences to reflect on and reinforce my knowledge of the different teams by referring back to the notes that I had made throughout the insight week.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Gained a deeper understanding of FIC and O&A and their functions within Deutsche Bank. Also had the opportunity to speak and network to Analysts in both divisions to learn more about transferrable skills as well as their day-to-day tasks.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
There were many diverse faces and everybody seemed passionate about their job within the company. Many employees had actually made an internal transfer from one department to another or from one geographical location to another and so this really highlighted Deutsche Bank's emphasis on internal mobility and providing its employees with room to explore new opportunities and develop new skills and relationships along the way as well.
