Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
As a student, the PwC Spring Insight Days for One Deals provided an immersive experience into the world of deals. I attended meeting calls, networked with professionals, and worked on a real ongoing project alongside experienced mentors. Each day offered a unique glimpse into different aspects of the deals practice, from due diligence to valuations, allowing me to gain valuable insights and hands-on experience.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Attending the PwC Spring Insight Days for One Deals provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the various roles and business areas within the deals practice. From lead advisory services like corporate finance and M&A to transactions like financial due diligence, and restructuring and forensics, including forensic investigations and restructuring advisory, I gained valuable insights into the diverse range of opportunities available in this dynamic field.

I had the opportunity to enhance several key skills. Through networking sessions and interactions with professionals, I improved my ability to build connections and communicate effectively. Additionally, the on-going projects and research tasks allowed me to further develop my analytical and research capabilities, which are invaluable assets in the deal industry.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
I was very impressed by the company's enthusiasm and inclusive culture. The atmosphere was collaborative and supportive, with professionals at all levels equally sharing their expertise and experiences. Despite the fast-paced environment, there was a strong sense of camaraderie and a commitment to fostering personal and professional growth, making it an engaging and welcoming atmosphere.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

To students applying to PwC, my advice would be to approach the experience with an open mind and a willingness to learn. Actively participate in the sessions, ask questions, and engage with the everyone you met. Additionally, take the time to network and build connections, as these relationships can be invaluable. Most importantly, be yourself and let your ] interest and enthusiasm for the field be seen.
