Trade Marketing Intern Review

Working with the Trade Marketing Manager on all exhibitor activity ranging from point of sale to promotions and events including all format partner activity (IMAX, Real D and Dolby). Manage all exhibitor social media promotional activity. Work closely with the Creative Services team and brief all exhibitor campaign creative, managing timelines and approvals to ensure timely delivery to all our partners. Participate in regular partner meetings to discuss ideas and plans for upcoming titles.

Yes. During my internship I have been given my own projects to work on and I feel like within my role I hold a lot of responsibility as I am constantly in touch with third party clients. Additionally, within my role I feel I get a lot of exposure to the business as I participate in meetings and put forward any ideas that I may have.

I have had the opportunity to develop many of my existing skills such as confidence, leadership, time management and organization. However, I would say that my attention to detail has been the most improved.
I have had the chance to take online courses while doing my internship on Film Distribution and Marketing which has increased my knowledge and awareness of this particular industry.

Everyone at Warnermedia is very supportive. My manager has a catch up meeting with me every morning to check in and make sure I am okay with workload. The wider team also make an effort to check in every so often and it makes you feel as if you are not getting lost within the company.
They also have a great HR team who are very responsive with any queries.

Despite the pandemic and not being in the office during my placement, you still were able to get a feel for the company culture at Warnermedia, I felt very at ease with my team and found them to be very welcoming. There are many chances to get involved with charity work and they offer great incentives to keep you fit! This was great for the multiple lockdowns.

I loved my internship at Warnermedia, I felt like I got great insights into the business and I had multiple opportunities to build on my skills and learn new ones. Outside of work you are still able to do multiple extra courses and be invited to speaker sessions. I was made to feel part of the team because of the responsibility I was given and I would consider coming back in the future.
