First Year Insight Scheme Attendee Review

During this three day First Year Insight Scheme, I had the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the Latham & Watkins culture, approach to excellent client service, and firm strategy for leveraging their global reach, and collaborative approach to drive business success. Through this experience, I heard from Trainees, Associates and a Partner, and developed my understanding of their respective practice areas at the firm. Equally, I had the opportunity to hear from the Diversity & Inclusion team, including insight into the development opportunities in this area, as well as the IT team on the technological capabilities of the firm. As well as learning more about Latham & Watkins, I had the pleasure of meeting some really wonderful people along the way.

It was very insightful, and definitely very exciting, especially having had the chance to experience work shadowing with a an Associate Supervisor. I definitely enjoyed this experienced and learnt a lot along the way.

It was very friendly. During the experience, I not only connected with Trainees, Associates and a Partner, but I also had the opportunity to speak to various other individuals around the firm who were not directly involved in the First Year Insight Scheme; all were extremely friendly, and welcoming.

I really enjoyed every aspect of this scheme, from the presentation, to the networking opportunities and the work shadowing. I felt very at home at the firm, and supported during my time here, and definitely developed my skillset.
