Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
In my role, I engaged in a variety of tasks on a daily basis. I performed numerical analysis using Python and performed Eurocode and non-Eurocode (more unique) calculations, depending on the specific projects that had been assigned to me. I also spend time writing reports and proposals, communicating findings of completed projects as well as coordinating how we could help complete projects currently out for tender.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Yes, I developed skills on new softwares (MathCad, Python and MatLab development) and received guidance on any areas of concern. I also gained the chance to give presentations, increasing my confidence.

A great atmosphere in the office, very hard working but able to relax and people always have time for a tea and a chat if needed.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I enjoyed it a lot. Obviosuly there are always days you enjoy less, but overall it was a very rewarding experience, I gained a lot and am very much looking forward to going back when I graduate.
