Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
A day-to-day basis at G-Research was an optimistic environment, it was very embracing especially from each and everyone of the employees throughout the company from the moment I stepped into the building all the way to the moment I had left the building. It was a a positive experience through and through whilst my time here.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It most definitely opened many doors and pathways that I didn't know existed. For example, I've always had an interest for finance, although I really enjoy mathematics, in which G-Research encouraged me to look into the career path of a Quantitative Research or even Quant trader which amalgamates all my interests.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
My public speaking and presentation skills has definitely improved whilst at my time here. G-Research designated time so that we can learn how to articulate and convey ourselves in a concise manner that will keep your audience captivated. I developed new skills such as not being afraid to look "silly" as they encouraged inquisitive minds.

How would you rate business leader involvement during the insight

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company's culture was very warm and welcoming. No-one was afraid to ask questions and speak out if they had any queries. Any requests we had were always met with kindness. This theme was contagious throughout all of the departments which I really liked and this really made me want to come back.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to G-Research
My advice would be to, one be yourself, but to come inquisitive. you aren't expected to know everything however its the drive and passion to want to know more, that is what really makes you stand out and become good for the company. Make sure you are well researched, don't apply just because but because you've done a background check on the company and it is something you really want to do.
