Resource Analyst - Business Placement Student Review

My Role involved conducting general admin, this meant that I would update booking based on many different requirements, I also ran commercial reports and managed incoming demand from clients so that I could pass it through to the correct Resource Officer or Manager for them to select resources to provide options for clients. In my free time I was allowed to develop my coding skills and express them in ways to improve the team

I was given a lot of responsibility during my placement, Although I always felt as though there was always support for anything I was unsure about or needed to talk something through before doing it. The team makes you feel like they constantly believe in you and that there is nothing you can't do!

I have learned Javascript, Python, PowerBI and Alteryx alongside many personal skills such as team working, project management and time keeping. My confidence has grown leaps since doing my placement

I was given so much support and guidance when first learning my role, I was given a buddy who was the previous BP for the team and he made me feel as though I had been their for years by supporting me the whole way through my training and even after he finished his placement he continued to support me with anything I needed. The team itself is full of knowledge and support

The overall culture is great, you feel like part of a family and there is always something for you to get involved with outside of your role, everyone is nice and welcoming and the general atmosphere is filled with the feeling that there is never a stupid question
