Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Company research looks at analysing equity stock on a particular sector e.g. capital goods or telecommunications. Analysts develop models to represent each stock they cover which can be used as good predictors for how the company will perform in the future. The analyst with then give the company a rating, (BUY, HOLD or SELL), given a 12 month overview of the company.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I developed large data sets that the team will be using henceforth and also did stockpitching and report writing.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Yes, I have a greater attention to detail. I think- how can one factor affect the story of the whole company. I have improved my excel modelling skills too. I had no clue about accounting when beginning, but I was able to acquire the necessary information on the job.
