What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Based in the Manchester office:
The culture was brilliant, approachable staff, patient as well, the only limitation to getting involved in something or talking to people would be yourself.
Also, when it hits quitting time, you won't be forced to stay or emotionally guilt-tripped into staying.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
Immeasurably, best decision I have made for any Summer, a great deal is attributed to how my line manager set it up.
I was placed on many different projects as opposed to one throughout my internship.

Go for it, for my role specifically- Consultancy, Project Management- your background does not really matter, as long as you are determined to understand what you will be involved in, you will do well.
