Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Role as summer intern involves attending and shadowing team and client meetings. Learning the process of insurance broking and the placement of deals. Involves networking with the team and with other insurers. Typical daily tasks includes reviewing market submissions, helping to track enquiries, learn about specific placing software such as Brokasure and PPL.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a moderate amount of responsibility. Specifically, responsibility of presenting projects to the wider Aon network and emailing key clients.
