Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Account management for 2 key retailers in the Lancôme portfolio.
Data analysis and creation and presentation of said analyses
Contract negotiations
Sales forecasting
Planning and execution of strategies
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was given tremendous levels of responsibility, far exceeding that of my expectations. I was regularly presenting to general managers and directors, whilst also having the opportunity to present to managing directors and the country CEO.
Within the brand environment I was also given responsibility at the level of a national account manager, with the accountability for two retailers in the Lancôme portfolio.

I’ve developed a range of skills, most notably my presentation skill set. I’ve been given the opportunity to do many presentations to senior stakeholders which has led to manier opportunities.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
To a significant extent. It was a fantastic experience and I learnt a lot. Nothing is going to be perfect but this was a lot better than I initially expected it to be.
