Legal Intern Review

Every day, we met with newly qualified and trainee solicitors from a variety of departments, such as serious injury, medical negligence, and RCG, over coffee. Throughout the week, we were also given assignments that we had to turn in at the end of each day. These assignments mirrored those provided to trainees in the corporate, real estate, corporate, TTE, and WTED departments as well as the departments dealing with medical malpractice. Aside from hearing consumer testimonials, we also had the chance to ask questions whenever we wanted to.

Overall, I had a great time during the week. Since I had never done anything like before, I was initially rather intimidated, but the people and Irwin Mitchell quickly made me feel at ease. Every day was different, and while I preferred working in some departments over others, this had to be expected and is representative of what a training contract would be like since you might not have complete control over the seats you hold.
