Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Mostly data analysis using Power BI - I have very few repetitive tasks to do, there is usually something new and interesting to do.
I have spent a lot of time during my placement working from home due to COVID-19, which would restrict me to working from computer

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I have set up the documents that we now use for data collection, I've been exposed to people throughout the business at many levels, and I am given almost complete autonomy.

Most notably: I have greatly developed my IT skills, improved my understanding of the machinery, learnt about management roles and what they involve, and improved my ability to communicate professionally.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I would almost always start by trying to figure out the best solution to a problem myself, if I got stuck my team would always be happy to help and support me.
You are encouraged to try and figure things out yourself before asking for help, which I think is a good thing, as it means you learn new skills, enabling you to solve these problems in the future.
