Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My day-to-day role includes managing and regularly updating my brand's 2 apps and brand website to ensure they are fully up to date. I also manage my brand's CRM (marketing emails) process as well from the initial design stage all the way through to the final approval and performance analysis following the send from which I then give recommendations on how to improve future emails. This means I get to work with a wide variety of individuals internally and externally which has been great for networking and my personal development. I have also had the opportunity to work on large exciting brand test and learns/campaigns with large budgets behind them and I have had the opportunity to present throughout the year in high profile meetings.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Throughout my year at L'Oréal I have been given a lot of responsibility. I have completely managed and been responsible for the regular updates needed on the brand website and 2 apps as well as completely owning the CRM process from the beginning design stages through to the send and performance reporting afterwards. I have also been able to play an important role in the biggest campaign by brand has ever run and worked on lots of exciting new test and learn projects which have had significant investment in.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I have felt throughout my year at L'Oréal that I have been very well supported. My manager and the two teams I have worked across have always been available when I had any questions and are always more than happy to help and offer guidance/support. The teams have been supportive and great mentors when discussing ideas or proposals for the brand as well and truly make you feel like no idea is a bad idea.

L'Oréal is heavily committed to creating a work environment which is supportive, inclusive and nurturing, everyone is very approachable and friendly. Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend L'Oreal to a friend?
Yes
What advice would you give to others applying to L'Oreal
Be true to yourself and use your skills to your advantage. Don't be afraid to ask questions - everyone is here to help! Have a detailed idea of what you'd like to get out of your year e.g. I want to improve presentation/excel skills. ALso, network as actively as you can as these connections are so useful - particularly when progressing in your future career at L'Oréal and working on projects where it is great to be able to tap into other people's areas of expertise to really maximise the projects and add optimal value to your brand.
