Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Each day I have a meeting with my team, then we plan which EGAs which need to be completed and or reviewed each day. I assist associates and managers with their tasks, which provides opportunity to ask plenty of questions. We have also completed a project with a social enterprise.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I feel that I was given a fair amount of responsibility, being able to view financial statements and add information to EGAs which were then prepared. I felt I could work independently, however, I always felt that I could check my work after completion.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have developed my knowledge of accounting and how to interact with clients. It has been interesting to see how the office setting functions. I feel that I have definitely improved my confidence by pushing myself out of my comfort zone.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I always felt very supported throughout the internship, being able to go to different members of the team when I needed help. I was always provided with work to do to keep me busy.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

I have really enjoyed the atmosphere in this office, it feels productive but not stressful at any point. Everyone is very kind and willing to listen and help you.
