Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

As part of the business of Law week, we learnt about the firm and had the opportunity to meet different people related to CMS (both clients and fee earners). This week also involved a range of assessments.
The internship part of the Academy included being in the office each day and working with your allocated team. This provided me with an insight into life as a trainee at CMS. My day-to-day involved trainee solicitors tasks such as researching and helping the team.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

Being at the office illustrated the potential roles available within the different teams at the frim. Furthermore, the placement allowed me to understand CMS and its strategy better.

Yes, I enhanced my teamwork skills as I collaborated with my team on a daily basis. In addition, I developed further my legal research skills and organisational skills.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

I found the culture very friendly and supportive. Every person I came across checked whether I need any help and asked about how I am finding the Academy.
