Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Network Wired/Wireless Access maintain the hardware/software of our cooperate network. ​
We provide for Customers/Clients all around the world – maintaining the platinum/gold/silver and bronze topology. ​
Also work with the Cloud Edge Defense team/SASE ! ​
Tasks within our team: ​
Upgrading/Installing software onto hardware.​
Monitoring the assurance of the network Infrastructure on sites.​
Talk with clients – dealing with Incidents.​
FMC management/assurance. ​
Creating groups/clients, giving certain permissions - ACL's. ​
Tracking/Managing PSIRTS (Product Security Incident Response Team).

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
With one of teams I worked with I got some support of some people, and other people did not give me support at all. I guess it was a mix really, depends on the team and the people on that team.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I would say nearer the end I started to enjoy my placement, as I was given a lot more freedom to do what needed to be done, as well as my newer team I joined, I got a lot more support of them; they really showed me how well people can work in a team, and brought out the best in me.
