Supplier relationship management
Assisting Supply managers with updating Purchase Orders
Negotiating price changes with suppliers
Contacting suppliers and solving continuity issues

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yeah in one project I lead a negotiation for a 7 figure price negotiation. Adding to that I had the sole responsibility for purchasing a sub section of parts.

I worked with supply managers to start with and then was given more freedom as I got used to systems, processes and dealing with issues related to the section of parts given to me.
