Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

Attended legal presentations regarding the firm specific practice areas, conducted a research task for my supervisors, and attended daily social activities such as darts and social dinners.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

Very easy. There were multiple networking sessions to speak to current trainees about their roles. Additionally, there were presentation sessions regarding the recruitment process and how this works

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt new skills regarding how to approach research tasks such as using practical law and conducting adequate research and drafting documents. In regards to working in the firm, there were legal presentations to learn new skills and network with trainees.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Very friendly, collaborative, and easy going. There was no cut-throat competition between vacation scheme students and all associates and partners were easy to approach
