Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
The goal of tasks I am being assigned is to improve my team's overall technical understanding of Intel's networking products. Improving documentation, dealing with customer issues, debugging issues and code is my daily work. If I can fix a problem on a networking product, I do it, and my job is also to collaborate with others to find solutions that will help to move Intel's networking products forward.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I have been given much responsibility during my placement. I am responsible for documentation, that users use to deploy their networks. Workarounds I have found are being used and relied on by the biggest telecommunications companies. Code I have fixed has been merged into the main branch of the application, an application being used widely in the industry.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The atmosphere in the office is quite relaxed. Most of people know their stuff about technology, and they can talk about it. Company values, like 'one Intel' are rather followed, which creates actual feeling of being in a group that drives innovation. There are more stressful times at times, but they usually do not last very long.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Intel Corporation to a friend?
Yes
What advice would you give to others applying to Intel Corporation
If you would like to land a technical role, do not try to pretend someone that you are not. It is easy to see through lying, and being dishonest on job interviews. Honesty pays in Intel.
