I am responsible for working with key stakeholders (e.g. the project team), on a live project, to ensure that it is ready for the next go-live date. This involves answering email and IM requests, joining video calls, and working behind the scenes (report writing etc)

Absolutely. I was keen to learn new skills, from the start, so I think I have been given more responsibility. I have been involved with report writing, which have been sent to senior managers - and will be used for the project going forward.

I have learnt a wide variety of new skills, as well as developing existing skills. The ability to present to a wide team, of senior managers, was an opportunity that allowed me to greatly build my own confidence - and have experience of presentation writing and delivery. I have also build strong team-working skills.

I could access a wealth of support. I had a graduate mentor/coach, who I met with at least weekly (and messaged multiple times a week). My line manager was fantastic, and spoke to me throughout each day - checking that I was confident with all my work. Finally, the Early Careers team were always just an email away - and organised many orientation events.

The culture and atmosphere was great! I was made to feel welcome from day 1, speaking to people from senior levels almost straight away. It doesn't feel much like a hierarchy, and it is believed that everyone's voice is valid - and should be heard. I felt able to speak up in meetings, without fear of being told off.

I have loved my internship - it has been a fantastic placement. The bank are willing to provide a wealth of opportunities, and have given me a wide variety of responsibility - to prove my abilities. The team have been extremely supportive - and it is somewhere that I would certainly like to continue my career with.
