Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The insight was organized over a week, everyday different divisions of the bank were presented and each activity involved occasions of networking.
Many different activity were organized, among these there were trading simulations and an M&A challenge.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
At the beginning it was quite confusing, because of the huge amount of new information. But as soon as we got more in practice, it became easier to understand some of the basic mechanism. It helped me a lot in understanding to which roles I am more oriented for my future.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I developed a wider knowledge of the banking world and acquired a lot of new concepts. Most of all, I developed essential soft skills such as cooperation, communication, problem-solving, critical-thinking. I had the chance to do a lot of networking which pushed me to be more open minded and less shy in establishing relationship with new people.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
I loved the atmosphere that BofA created for this insight. They really care about their employees and they made me feel really important. It is evident that they assess much value to this experience, it is important for them to give a lot of opportunities to young people so that they can get as much experience as possible.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I really tried to take as much as possible from this week. It was a unique opportunity for me to meet new people, establish connection that might be helpful for my future and to understand the general functioning of the bank

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Bank of America
Try to come as open-mided as you can because you will face different situations, and meet people coming from all over the world, with different backgrounds and cultures. Moreover, do not try to absorb all information you hear because it's a lot, the important thing is to understand the mechanism on which the different divisions are based on and which could be your place in it.
