Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the virtual experience and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
It was incredible, props to the team for being able to come up with something so interesting and varied (and well put together) online. It was enjoyable, the time were also manageable and the coffee roulette was great for meeting new people and getting a break from working away. I was very impressed.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The way all of the business roles were explained made it simple enough to take it and digest, it wasn’t thrown at us, we were all talked through the positions at CMS and how varied the roles are too. Different people spoke to us and explained their jobs which was also interesting and helped to understand the roles at CMS.

I have developed my computer skills, people/communication skills, teamwork skills too. With Covid, it is important to be able to utilise technology and these skills were developed a lot.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The culture and atmosphere was pleasant, everyone was happy and cheerful, the team was very good and even played music at one point which helped the atmosphere even more.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the virtual experience?
To a very large extent, I enjoyed the virtual experience. I would have loved to go to the physical building but given the circumstances, I think the CMS first steps done an amazing job and deserve so much credit and appreciation. I enjoyed every minute, the times and breaks were perfect too!

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to CMS
I would say just to be yourself. The team is amazing and definitely looking for individuals who do not conform to social norms. The first steps team had some really joyful people and their personalities were shining through, and I think that really reflects what CMS is and what CMS wants. Just be yourself!
