Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Set up automatic connections a Power BI dashboards. Build visuals according to client corporate identity. Develop the data model schema, e.g., added tables, relationships, connections, data structures, cardinality, etc.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given more responsibility than I expected I was trusted to produce Power BI Dashboards independently on multiple projects during my time here. It has helped me gain confidence in my role and has helped me gain a positive reputation in the company.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have learnt to use Power BI and languages in Power BI (DAX, M), developed my excel skills, I have gained experience using SharePoint, building SharePoint forms using JavaScript and managing permissions.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

Throughout the placement my line manager has been keeping in touch, making sure that I am coping with the workload and offering support/ guidance when needed. My colleagues, other students and my buddy also offer support, and in turn this helped me support them too.

I have enjoyed my placement enough to have it extended by 3 months and also I already know that I am going to apply to come back to Mace once I graduate.
