Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Working as part of the team to design and deliver drawing packages for various sites and projects. Examples included utilities co-ordination and drainage design
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes I have been given a good amount of responsibility. I have been trusted to carry out tasks with very little support but still feeling able to ask for support and questions if needed. This enabled me to learn on the job and gain invaluable experience

Yes working as part of such a large team I have developed my interpersonal skill. I have also been able to successfully apply knowledge gained at University and my understanding of concepts to real world examples

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I received a great deal of supports and guidance throughout my placement. My line manager as well as project teams were extremely helpful and made sure I always felt comfortable to ask questions.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The general atmosphere was great. Every member of the team truly cares about what they do and strive to produce work to the highest standard possible. Everybody is also extremely supportive to other members of the team and are always happy to help where needed.

To be yourself and to show passion for what it is Arup does. Research projects they are involved with and really get on board with what Arup as a whole is trying to achieve.
