Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Looking after the Garnier website, creating and updating LP, PDPs, and the services. Running review campaigns, help increase the SEO score. Work with an agency to help further our SEO and increase consumer knowledge on our products with creating articles.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes I was given a lot of responsibility which was daunting to begin with however, as you gain more confidence I really enjoyed it.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

With this being my first office job, I leant professionalism, communication skills, and the ability to actively listen and react to employees and clients. I learnt how to use different software and programs. I also expanded my confidence as I had to challenge myself in new environments.

Although the team I was in was small, I did always feel like I had someone to turn to if I had a question.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Everyone is super friendly. I would say it is quite groupie however, there are lots of team building activities which help you talk to new people.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I had a great time on this placement and learned a lot about the careers I want to pursue in the future. I really enjoyed working in the beauty industry and plan to work in it after university. L'Oreal is a fantastic company to work for, and I've had more fun this year than I could have ever expected.
