Commercial Excellence Placement
Outline:
The Commercial Excellence Data Analyst (Intern) role is a great opportunity to obtain in-depth experience of a commercial pharmaceutical business within a rare disease biotech company, spanning commercial analytics, digital marketing, insight generation across multiple disease areas. The role will be exposed to all areas of the business and will partner with brand teams, field commercial, medical and commercial excellence teams to support business analytics and digital strategy and will be part of building a best-in-class approach to business insight generation and communications.
You will not be making coffee or printing reams of documents. You WILL be making a difference in a focused rare disease business where every person is expected to contribute to our success.
Working as part of a friendly, high-performing team with ambitious vision for the further development of commercial excellence, you will be included in many varied projects that will provide learning opportunities as well as leveraging your skills and interests in business analytics and omnichannel customer engagement.
You will be able to work independently within a coaching-led environment where your contribution and ideas will be valued.
The role is based in our modern office outside Cambridge, and the role includes a balance of home-working and office attendance, with flexible working hours.
AI and process improvement
- Drive engagement with AI and identify process opportunities
- Leading implementation of AI across the business
- Providing insights and training
- Support digital training platform (Udemy)
Analytics Support
- Patient number processing (monthly)
- Monthly business insights generation
- Ad hoc CRM usage and analysis
- Consent analysis and support
- Business reporting tool development
Digital Marketing Support
- Integration of customer journey data sources
- Digital Marketing metrics
- Web support and site maintenance & development
Attributes:

- Sense of humour
- Numerate and comfortable with large data analysis
- Ability to follow processes and adhere to procedures in a regulated pharmaceutical environment
Skills:
- Excel/Database competency
- CRM and data reporting experience - helpful but not essential
- Data Science approach and interest
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Prioritisation of workload (with guidance)
- Experience with any form of AI (LLMs, Machine Learning, RPA, MS Power Automator) – helpful but not essential
