Why do we focus on rare diseases?

There are an estimated 5,000-8,000 rare diseases in the world today affecting more than 400 million people. Yet only around 5 per cent of these have a cure. This is a hugely under-served area with great unmet medical needs. We specialise in rare diseases because this is where we can make the greatest difference to people’s lives.

We are a relatively small team within the UK & Ireland, with around 60 employees working together to achieve our shared mission of transforming patients lives.

We are just starting our journey working within the early careers space and are passionate about contributing to developing future talent.
