Business Partnerships Level 3 Apprenticeship

Join our Group Information Services (GIS) Partner Management team, made up of three key areas — Sourcing, Procurement and Partner Management. You’ll play a fundamental role in sourcing, onboarding, and managing relationships with our strategic partners, including Apple, Microsoft, BT, SAP and more than 200 additional suppliers. Through rotational placements across all three areas, you’ll gain a true understanding of Partner Management and why selecting the right vendors is critical. As a global function, we provide expertise on procurement best practice and deliver value across the business.

Sourcing involves identifying business needs, selecting the right suppliers, onboarding them, and managing contracts and commercials before our Internal Partner Management team takes over. This is supported by our Procurement team, who work with Sourcing to purchase the selected products and services. You’ll work in an inclusive, supportive environment where everyone feels welcome. What you’ll do

Alongside gaining a Business Administration Level 3 qualification (with 80% of your time spent in work and 20% studying), you will support in:

  • Maintaining accurate records of sourcing activities, contracts and agreements, and updating the Partner Management Teams site.
  • Conducting market research to help identify, shortlist and onboard vendors.
  • Creating reports on supplier performance and cost savings using business tools and data.
  • Organising and prioritising work schedules, including coordinating sourcing meetings.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve sourcing processes and reduce costs through data analysis.
  • Working collaboratively in small teams to deliver tasks within budget and company guidelines.

What you’ll need

  • A minimum of 2 GCSEs, including Maths and English Language at grade 4/C or above.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
  • It would be beneficial to have customer service experience.
  • Good administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates analytical thinking to solve problems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines.

Please note that for successful applicants, offers will be conditional on passing additional eligibility checks with our training provider which will include a Maths and English assessment and a review of any previous qualifications you hold.Due to the funding requirements of the apprenticeship, applicants must not already hold a business administration level 3 standard, NVQ, BTEC or equivalent qualification to be eligible for this programme.
