The Opportunity
This 12-month placement offers a starting salary of £24,500 and the chance to work at # Gloucester Business Park within our Nuclear Services division.
You’ll take on a real job at a junior level, gaining hands-on experience while being supported by skilled colleagues and mentors.
This placement helps you apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges, build technical and analytical skills, and explore your future career path in the energy sector.
What You’ll Be Doing
During your Electrical Engineering Industrial Placement, you’ll gain practical experience in a professional environment.
Past students have supported safety improvements through communications campaigns and training, explored radiation protection in new power stations, and helped maintain condition monitoring programmes across operational sites.
You’ll be immersed in meaningful work, contributing to projects that support the energy industry. With guidance from experienced teams, you’ll complete degree-relevant modules and develop a deeper understanding of electrical engineering in a nuclear context.
Your Work Location
Your placement will be based at # Gloucester Business Park (GL3 4AE), where you’ll work within our office and collaborate with teams across Nuclear Services.
Who You Are
To be eligible for this EDF industrial placement, you need to be on track to achieve, or have already achieved, a 2:2 undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation and Control.

Security Vetting
