About EDF Energy

As Britain’s biggest generator of low carbon electricity, we are meeting around one-fifth of the country’s demand and supplying millions of customers with electricity and gas. We are leading the transition to a cleaner, low carbon future, tackling climate change and helping Britain reach net zero.

We generate low carbon electricity from five nuclear power stations, more than thirty onshore wind farms and two offshore wind farms, and we operate one of Britain’s biggest battery storage units, one gas and one coal power station, EV charge-points, and combined heat and power plants.

EDF is leading the UK's nuclear renaissance with the construction of a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C. We also continue to support a replica plant at Sizewell C in Suffolk, which is now majority owned by the UK government. EDF remains a key shareholder in Sizewell C and the business therefore maintains close links to EDF as a part of its ‘nuclear family’. Once operational, Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C will provide enough low carbon electricity to power around 12 million homes.

In the UK, the company employs around 14,000 people at locations across England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland, and operational success is supported by our corporate teams across finance, HR, IT and digital, procurement and HR.

At EDF, we strive to create an inclusive and diverse environment where everyone has a voice and where you feel confident being yourself. We work in partnership with organisations leading the way in making the world a more inclusive and equitable place. This includes our status as a disability confident employer, which means we’ll do all we can to help with your application, making adjustments as you need.

We believe in focusing on what candidates can achieve in the future. Our skills-based hiring approach means we're interested in your current skills as well as your ability to acquire new skills.
