IT Systems Support Level 3 Apprenticeship - Cleland McIver

About Cleland McIver:

Cleland McIver was set up by Keith McIver over 40 years ago, originally a manufacturer of ready-made curtains and roller blinds for the retail and mail order markets. The family has been involved in textiles for over 100 years through three generations. Throughout its history the company has developed a loyal and long standing workforce dedicated to support the business and its customers. We are looking to expand our operations through an IT Apprentice

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT-related issues within the company.
  • Respond promptly to support requests alongside the managed service provider.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and mobile device issues.
  • Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems and peripherals.
  • Support user account management and maintain IT documentation.
  • Participate in IT projects such as system upgrades and security initiatives.

Additionally the following experience would be beneficial:

  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and common applications.
  • Previous experience in customer service or technical support.
  • Understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements.

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject

Non-standard entry with work experience:Relevant qualifications and/or work experience will be considered for applicants with potential to benefit from the programme.You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.For more information please visit the UK ENIC website.

Salary:

Starting salary £14,329.90 per annum, rising to national living wage for age (up to £23,174.58) after year one.

Working hours:

36.5 hours per week.
