Undergraduate Digital E-Commerce Placement 2026

Role:

Honda’s UK Automobile operations is a Direct-to-Consumer business that gives our customers the choice in how they wish to purchase their vehicle. This can be at Retailer, order online or an omnichannel approach.

This route to market launched in October 2025, across all new model sales, and this role will support the Data & Digital Commerce department in the development and delivery of many operational activities to help drive the commercial objective of maximising profitable volume of sales.

As a Digital E-commerce Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the digital operations of our online automotive sales.

This role is ideal for an undergraduate student looking to gain hands-on experience in ecommerce management, digital marketing and online customer engagement.

The role will support the overall customer digital journey and be the owner of administrative duties within the Data and Digital Commerce team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the team on website updates, new initiatives and testing when required.
  • Involved in the briefing to agencies for content and supporting the sign off process to review and agree content.
  • Assisting the team in logging and following up on any IT tickets for website activity
  • Supporting the overall CRM operational channel from helping with agency briefs to delivering an email campaign.
  • Providing support to the data and reporting function and getting involved in some low-level analysis of performance.
  • Assisting on administrative actions across the UK business to help when required with on time delivery of operational activities
  • Administering the purchase order system for supplier payments.
  • Ensure product data accuracy, including pricing, specifications, imagery and compliance with brand standards.
  • Support in managing and launching promotional campaigns, new products and featured product updates.
  • Conduct competitor research and market analysis to identify new opportunities.
  • Updating of internal budget trackers to help management monitor spend.
  • Help maintain SEO best practices for product pages and category listings.
  • Presentation creation, updates and reporting.
  • Team admin and meeting co-ordination.

Qualifications, skills and experience: Required/Desirable

Required

  • Real passion for everything involved in e-commerce, digital marketing, cars, technology and digital innovation.
  • Interested in data analysis and comfortable working with spreadsheets and data entry, including Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Well organised with a strong attention to detail and good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility in getting involved in multiple operational activities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive and energetic and will use initiative when completing all tasks assigned
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn.
  • Excellent people skills and action orientated.
  • A strong team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft programmes (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).

Desirable

  • Previous experience in an e-commerce business and/or a basic understanding of ecommerce platforms, websites and digital technology.
  • Full driving licence.
