About the programme
During the Accountancy & Finance Summer Internship, you’ll gain practical experience across governance, planning, audit, and reporting, building the expertise to assess risk and support long-term financial resilience. The scheme is designed to develop your core skills in judgement, engagement, self-management, and delivery, while deepening your knowledge through analysis and research.

Your experience will be tailored to help you build a strong foundation in financial services, with opportunities to apply economic thinking and provide valuable advice to help FCA functions deliver on their goals.
For those interested in accountancy, the internship offers hands-on experience in financial audit, internal controls, reporting, and governance. You’ll strengthen your understanding of accounting principles, regulatory frameworks, and risk assessment and their practical application.
Note: Successful interns will be offered a place on our graduate scheme in the same location. Please apply for the internship in the location where you would also want to work as a graduate.
