HR Placement
Department: HR
Job:
To provide administrative support to the HR Managers and wider HR Team across all Porsche Group Companies in the UK: Porsche Cars GB Ltd, Porsche Retail Group Ltd and Porsche Financial Services GB Ltd.
This is a Placement Year position for a candidate currently studying an Undergraduate degree at university, seeking a placement for their third year. The role will commence in August 2026.
Responsibilities:
- General Administration
- Assisting with day-to-day HR Administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records and updating data bases.
- Monitoring the HR department ‘in-box’, responding to employee enquiries.
- Preparing contractual offers of employment.
- Conducting employee background screening and vetting processes.
- Drafting letters and internal HR Communications.
- Raising purchase orders.
- Organising, chairing and taking minutes at HR Team meetings.
- Supporting payroll processes as required.
- Intern Recruitment & Selection:
- Supporting Managers with composing and reviewing intern job descriptions.
- Advertising intern roles.
- Shortlisting candidates for interview.
- Conducting interviews and attending assessment centres as required.
- Helping new hires onboard by preparing documents, supporting orientation and presenting at ‘Welcome Days’ as required.
- Porsche Intern Programme:
- Preparation of internship reports and other intern documents.
- Be the HR lead for all interns, as the main contact in the HR department.
- Managing intern onboarding and offboarding processes, including internship reports and exit interviews.
- Keeping the HR intern ‘handbook’ updated as changes occur throughout internship.
- Being an active participant in the annual Porsche Intern Project, having a meaningful role in raising awareness, support, and money for the Company charity partner.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 A-Levels at Grade B or above.
- Studying HR, Business Administration, Psychology or related undergraduate degree.
- Ability to work quickly, diligently and efficiently with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of HR practices and employment law.
- Good IT literacy and the ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
- Data management and analytical skills.
- Experience of working within a customer service role.
- Full Driving License.
- Willingness to travel, on occasions, to locations across South-East England to visit our 7 Porsche Retail Group Porsche Centre, Distribution Centre and Porsche Experience Centre.

Location:
Porsche Cars GB Ltd and Porsche Retail Head Office is located conveniently by junction 12 of the M4, adjacent to a retail park, gym, and well-known fast-food restaurants. It is within walking distance of Theale's main line train station and a bus stop which operate regular services to Reading Town Centre.
