Social Media Marketing Level 3 Apprenticeship - Howarth Timber

Overview:

You will support the marketing team by creating and delivering engaging content across digital platforms such as social media, email, SMS, and in-store media. This hands-on role involves content creation, campaign planning, branch visits, and supporting promotional activities to drive brand awareness and customer engagement. A full UK driving licence and access to a car is required due to regular travel to branches.

Your main duties will include the following:

  • Create and publish engaging static and video content across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok).
  • Coordinate the social media and communications calendar, ensuring consistent content flow.
  • Gather content by regularly communicating with branch contacts and conducting site visits across the M62 corridor aside from our main office in Wakefield.
  • Collaborate with sales, customer service and support teams to create content addressing customer needs.
  • Design and edit assets/videos using Adobe Creative Suite for social media and website promotion.
  • Support marketing campaigns through emails, SMS, and push notifications.
  • Monitor trends and insights, adapting content strategies accordingly.
  • Confidently feature in video content and assist with other marketing activities as needed.

Desirable skills:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and video editing tools.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential).

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm.
