As a Technical Operator Apprentice at Nestlé, you’ll develop the skills you need for a secure and fulfilling career in manufacturing, with opportunities for growth that you just don’t find elsewhere. What can you expect?
Over the course of two years, our dedicated mentors will show you everything you need to know to effectively support food and drink production in our factories. You’ll master skills like:
- Start up and shut down of our machines
- How to use sophisticated automation technology
- Diagnosing and solving problems
With hands-on experience, you’ll play a key role in keeping our manufacturing process running smoothly. With support at every step, you’ll have the confidence to do the role for real and take your career to new heights.

On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will achieve the L3 Technical Operator Apprenticeship.
Career progression
An apprenticeship is the beginning of an exciting career journey at Nestlé. Once you have completed the programme, your line manager will work with you to explore different career directions. Whichever path you choose, you’ll always be supported in achieving your full potential.
Entry requirements
- Maths and English Language GCSEs or equivalent at grades 9-4 (A*-C if taken before 2017)
- Must be ready to commit 100% to developing your career
- Must be 18 years old by 1st September 2026
- Must have the right to work in the UK that is not time-limited and does not require sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route at the start of the scheme or on completion
