Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

I would work alongside other members of the tax and legal team, aiding them with the completion of compliance checks. I would also assist in the process of performing risk management when screening potential new clients.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

It was fascinating getting the chance to experience the day to day activities of a large corporation. This opportunity to witness the variety of potential roles within the firm gave me a whole new perspective on how my future career could look.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I was given an opportunity to present on a complex tax based topic which I had no prior knowledge of. This task helped me develop my presentation and research skills whilst also improving my public speaking ability. Furthermore, I learn't the necessary steps that must be taken in order to perform risk management and background checks on new clients.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Incredibly welcoming and amicable. I felt a part of the team from day one and members of the firm considerably higher than myself within the corporate structure would regularly take time out of their day to get to know me.
