Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
As a Sales Person, you will
Help our clients buy and sell financial instruments;
Be promoting products and trading opportunities to clients based on an in-depth understanding of their needs and investment styles; &
Be giving clients information about what’s happening in the markets and offering trades at the best prices.
As a trader, you will
Distil market moving information to inform decisions across the Global Markets business;
Buy and sell equities, FX, interest rates and credit and derivatives on behalf of the client & UBS;
Seek the best prices to execute our clients’ sales orders; &
Make markets in listed and over-the-counter asset classes.
There are additional commercially focused roles within Global Markets, which, while not specifically dealing with, or advising on transactions in financial instruments, are core to the operation of the business, by:
Connecting with clients through UBS platform ecosystems;
Improving data and analytics capabilities to enhance decision-making, in order to deliver relevant insights and solutions to clients; &
Delivering scalable, cost-effective solutions to Global Markets businesses and clients.
